Description
Introducing the Telesto Single Photon Neutron Imaging Detector, a cutting-edge solution for time-resolved neutron imaging. This innovative detector couples an intensifier with a time-resolved event-based imaging detector, allowing it to distinguish between neutrons and gamma ray background radiation. The Telesto Single Photon Neutron Imaging Detector boasts a timing accuracy below 2ns and can detect multiple events simultaneously. Neutron imaging and diffraction demand fast and sensitive detection systems, and Telesto rises to the challenge with unparalleled efficiency and precision. As the only optical detector meeting these stringent requirements, Telesto sets a new standard in neutron imaging technology.
Telesto consists of:
- A Timepix-3-based optical detector system with a time resolution of 1.56 nanoseconds. The detector can be used both in frame-based mode (with around 500 fps) and event-driven mode
- Optical Intensifier to achieve single photon sensitivity
- Lens system to observe scintillators with areas up to 100 x 100 mm
- EMPIR: Advanced data processing algorithms
- High-performance workstation PC for direct and at-line data processing and analysis
Telesto allows end users to:
- Replace existing CCD-based systems seamlessly
- Enhance the capabilites of their imaging facility for quantitative imaging, radiography and tomography
- Build new imaging systems to attract more users from science and industry
ASI (Amsterdam Scientific Instruments) in collaboration with LoskoVision can provide dedicated neutron imaging systems, consisting of:
- Light-tight enclosures with integrated scintillator mounts, mirror optics and adjustments of FoV via remote control
- Microscope setup with manual or remote control
Ideal solution for:
- Time-resolved neutron imaging and diffraction
- Event-mode imaging and frame-mode imaging
- High-resolution imaging
